My name is Jeff Burton.  In May, 2010, I am going to ride my bicycle 1526 miles on Historic Route 66 from Santa Monica, California to Stroud, Oklahoma to attend my 50th high school reunion.    

Riding with me will be my brother-in-law, Geoff Klotz.  Our wives, Kathy and Marti, will be driving along in support.  My nephews, Trevor and Hunter, will spend the month studying the history, archeology and geology of the Route 66 corridor through the American Southwest.

My ride will not only be a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, but will also be an effort to help my high school classmates raise donations for an alumni project supporting girls' athletics at our alma mater, Stroud High School.
